Stephanie joined SDDirect in January 2025. In her role as Business Development Manager (Parental Cover) Stephanie works on new opportunities across SDDirect's portfolios, including developing technical and commercial proposals for a range of clients and developing high impact partnerships. Stephanie particularly focuses on managing business development opportunities for the Equal Education and Child Protection portfolio, driving forward work to create safe and inclusive school and home environments for all children so that they can thrive regardless of their background.
Stephanie has ten years’ experience in the international development sector and over five years' of experience growing portfolios in business development and fundraising. Prior to joining SDDirect, she has worked with Save the Children UK in the Strategic Foundations team, where she worked with the programmes team and country offices to develop high quality proposals for both UK based trusts and international institutional donors. She has also lived and worked in Uganda, working with grassroots women-led organisations supporting girls' and women's empowerment. Her master’s dissertation research looked at adolescent girls' wellbeing, safety and educational resilience in Sierra Leone during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She holds an MPhil in Education, Globalisation and International Development from the University of Cambridge and a PGCert in Global Development Management from The Open University.
