Nicola Holden

Talent Specialist

Nicola joined the Programmes Team at Social Development Direct as Resourcing Officer, leading on the recruitment of experts for our live projects. Her main areas of focus have been on the Work Opportunities for Women (WOW) Helpdesk, the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Helpdesk, UNICEF’s Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies AoR Helpdesk and the DFID Girls’ Education Challenge (GEC) programme.

She also supports the Business Development Team with resourcing team members for our bid proposals.

Nicola is responsible for the development, maintenance and relationship management of the consultant network and database. This includes ensuring due diligence checks are complete and up to date for all, as well as contributing towards the production of communications, such as the SDDirect Christmas Newsletter.

Additionally, Nicola has been supporting our HR function with projects that include the review and update of our Staff Handbook, development of the HR Manual as well as providing advice and guidance on the recruitment of senior level internal positions.

Nicola has a BSc in Psychology & Criminology, and brings with her almost five years of recruitment experience from an agency background in the healthcare space.
