Jessie Meaney-Davis

Senior Technical Specialist

Jessie is a Senior Technical Specialist providing research, evaluations and advisory support for programmes focused on governance, social accountability and inclusive public services. She is currently the senior researcher and manager for the Disability Inclusion Helpdesk query service, which provides research and technical assistance to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office on disability inclusion in programmes and policies. She has also provided technical support to the Strengthening Transparency and Accountability Programme in Ghana.

Jessie has previously worked for international non-government organisations, human rights and women’s rights research organisations, and the Australian government. At Oxfam and ActionAid she supported programmes focused on women’s economic rights and empowerment, inclusive public services, accountability and active citizenship, climate change resilience, and gender-based violence. She has worked closely with teams in South Asia and the Pacific to address gender equality, disability inclusion, and child safeguarding across programme activities. She is particularly interested in participatory monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning to adapt and improve programmes and policies.

Jessie has a Master of Social Policy from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Asian Studies (Specialist) from the Australian National University. Outside of work Jessie is passionate about the environment, dance, music and yoga
