SDDirect Partners With UNICEF - Innocenti For New Adolescence Research Digest
We are delighted to introduce the first edition of the Innocenti Adolescence Research Digest - a new quarterly publication by Social Development Direct and UNICEF’s Office of Research-Innocenti.
The digest provides a synthesis of the latest research, resources and news related to adolescent well-being in low and middle income countries.
Adolescence is a critically sensitive period in terms of growth and maturity with many rapid transitions about which too little is currently known.
As part of Innocenti’s research programme on the social and structural determinants of adolescent wellbeing, the digest adds to a broader package of research tools aimed at strengthening the evidence base and enhancing research uptake in policymaking and practice.
For each digest, SDDirect authors scan a broad range of existing literature on adolescent well-being published over the preceding quarter, including: international peer reviewed journals, evaluation reports, systematic reviews, as well as toolkits, resources, policy news, and conferences. We independently select the content based on criteria such as potential for scalability, innovation, and policy relevance. We pay particular attention to research that promotes effective interventions in improving adolescent outcomes in low and middle income countries, and that support safe transitions to adulthood.
We want to hear from you!
