The next seminar in our series exploring new perspectives on law, human rights and international development is Peace vs Justice? Panellists will consider how the imperative to bring perpetrators to justice is consistent - or not - with communities' calls for peace and reconciliation. They will address whether it is more appropriate to issue an indictment against a leader of an armed group, to explain his crimes at a Truth and Reconciliation Commission or to give him a place in a transitional government.
This seminar is part of our series "Is it right?" which SDDirect is hosting in association with Tooks Chambers. Fortnightly seminars will be held from 6th April - 29th June 2011 from 6.30 pm to 8.30pm at Tooks Chambers, 81 Farringdon Street, London, EC4A 4BL.
Seminar 8 on 13th July 2011 will be held at the Thistle Hotel, Victoria, 101 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0SJ. Attendees are invited to join us for drinks and refreshments.
