Karolina joined SDDirect in September 2016 as Project Officer. The main focus of her work is the financial management of the DFID-funded La Pépinière, Programme for Adolescent Girls and Young Women based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She also works on the coordination and contract management of a number of other projects, including DFID’s Nigeria Voices for Change (V4C) Programme, the Access to Justice Programme in South Sudan and Girl Networks Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Consultancy for Girl Effect. Her role also includes supporting the delivery and maintenance of our project and financial management system.
Karolina holds an MA in International Relations from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland and a MSc in International Development and Management from Lund University in Sweden. She brings experience of working in project management roles in international NGOs. Prior to joining SDDirect Karolina worked at Health Poverty Action, where she was involved in the coordination of health systems strengthening projects in Myanmar and China. She also played a key role in setting up the organisation’s health management information system. Previously she spent a period of time working at ActionAid International in Rwanda, providing programme management and M&E support to the programmes team. Karolina also worked for a local domestic violence charity in London, where she was responsible for fundraising and reporting to donors.
A Polish native, Karolina also speaks basic Swedish and is learning French. She has a passion for travel and in her free time she enjoys running.
