Senior Technical Specialist
Jenny joined our technical team in 2014, and works as a senior researcher and consultant across our GBV and Inclusive Services portfolios.
Jenny brings over 10 years experience in gender-related issues including gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health rights, child nutrition, and girls’ education. With an MA in Medical Anthropology from the University of Sussex, she has particular expertise using participatory qualitative methods to measure the impact of social change programmes.
Jenny’s portfolio at SDDirect includes Portfolio Performance Manager for DFID’s Girls’ Education Challenge Fund, providing high-level technical support to this £350 million fund. She has extensive experience managing mixed-method research and evaluations including as Team Leader for several important studies including the DFID Impact Evaluation of the Madhya Pradesh Safe Cities Initiative, a Plan UK study on links between comprehensive sexuality education and GBV and a qualitative study for DFID’s Nigeria Stability and Conflict Programme on gender sensitivity and social inclusion within youth employment programmes. She is also a Senior Researcher on the DFID VAWG Helpdesk, for which she produces global evidence reviews and guidance on aspects of gender-based violence.
