Isabelle joined the company in September 2017, taking up the role of Technical Director, with oversight of the Women’s Economic Empowerment and Inclusive Public Services portfolio.
With over 22 years’ experience in social development, Isabelle has held various senior positions in the Department for International Development including Economic Inclusion and Gender Team Leader and Senior Poverty Advisor and social development adviser roles across the Governance Policy Department and Tanzania, Malawi, and Rwanda country offices. Before joining DFID she worked as the Country Representative for Christian Aid in Tanzania and at the local and national level for Concern Worldwide.
Isabelle brings a strong track record of policy, programmes and people leadership. Delivering results at the global level and measurable changes at the national and community level. Isabelle has specialist expertise in social development, gender and inclusion across the economic and social sectors and expertise in poverty and inequality analysis, economic development and empowerment, social protection and voice and accountability.
Her recent career highlights include leading HMG support for the UN High Level Panel for Women’s Economic Empowerment and UK policy on poverty and inequality for the Sustainable Development Goals.
She likes being outside as much as possible, swimming, scrambling and walking in the wilderness.
