Beatriz joined SDDirect in 2016 as Project Officer. She is experienced in managing international development projects, particularly DFID funded projects, to deliver effective value for money and high-quality outputs. Her current portfolio includes the DFID Girls’ Education Challenge (GEC) programme, DFID Infrastructure and Cities for Economic Development (ICED) programme, and EARF Shaping East African Cities as Systems to Work Better for all.
Beatriz also brings technical support skills. She provides support to the technical team on desk-based reviews on several programmes across the all portfolios.
Prior to joining SDDirect, Beatriz was a Project Coordinator in Mozambique on the Energy and Environment Partnerships Programme, and Project Manager for the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development in Portugal. Beatriz has a BA Psychology and is currently undertaking a BA in Management Accounting with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Alongside this, she has a PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Certificate.
In her spare time, she likes to travel, watch stand-up comedy and go on long walks. She is also an avid reader and enjoys regular exercise.
