Abigail joined SDDirect in 2015. She has over three years working in the development sector and holds an MA in European Studies from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in International Development (Poverty and Inequality) from the University of Birmingham.
Since joining SDDirect, Abigail has worked primarily on the DFID-funded La Pépinière programme based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her responsibilities include contract management, report writing, invoicing, client, partner and consultant liaison. She provides UK and DRC-based inputs to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the project. As well as her work on the La Pépinière, Abigail project manages various other long and short-term programmes in multiple countries.
Abigail previously spent two years at Options Consultancy Service Ltd in their business development and project delivery teams. She worked on research, content creation and budgeting on proposals for a health and gender projects with variety of donors and private foundations. She also led the management and coordination of small-scale tender processes. She also worked on the DFID funded PATHS II programme, a large-scale and complex health systems strengthening programme where she was responsible for documenting best practices and lessons learned, and dissemination to internal and external audiences. Abigail was also involved in the M&E and measuring results of community score card data and involved in writing up the results of the data for a report.
She has also worked and lived abroad for period of time and speaks French.
